Mumbai – Bollywood, Heritage & Coastal City Educational Tour

Delhi NCR October to February is best for Mumbai sightseeing. November to February is best...

Overview

Mumbai, the City of Dreams, is India's financial, entertainment and cultural capital. Home to Bollywood, historic landmarks, colonial architecture and a vibrant coastal culture, this educational tour offers students an opportunity to explore India's film industry, history, geography, art and urban life. The centrepiece is Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari (Mumbai Film City), the major film-production complex established by the Government of Maharashtra. Students can explore the city's heritage landmarks and then move behind the scenes of Bollywood to understand how an idea becomes a script, production, film, television programme and commercial product.

Best Time to Visit

October to February is best for Mumbai sightseeing. November to February is best for school groups and excellent for outdoor sightseeing, Film City visit, heritage walks, Marine Drive, Gateway of India, educational activities and photography. June to September: Mumbai's monsoon can provide a different experience, but heavy rainfall can disrupt outdoor sightseeing. March to May: Hot and humid; less suitable for an intensive student programme.
